The Gospel Plan Of Salvation
In your work as fisher of men, you will find that most of those you talk with respond to a clear, logical presentation of the Gospel plan. Here is an aid to Christian witnessing that I have provided along with questions and answers in a fashion that will show the means to Salvation according to the words of Scripture. It may help you be more effective if you memorize these verses, as they are the very heart of the Bible message.
How can I find joy and contentment?
“Then said Jesus unto them… I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:7, 10)
Who will have this abundant life?
“ God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” (1 John 5:11, 12)
Won’t keeping the Golden Rule and doing good deeds save me?
“ Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and the renewing of the Holy Ghost”. (Titus 3:5)
But I am not really bad; I don’t consider myself to be a great sinner.
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. (Romans 3:23)
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all”. (James 2:10)
Maybe I sin once in a while, but God won’t turn me down if I sin only a little.
“The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23)
It seems that God is more interested in punishment than anything else. How do I know God cares for me at all?
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)
What must I do?
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house”. (Acts 16:31)
Is that the only way?
“ Jesus saith unto Him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. (John 14:6)
Won’t my good works have any importance?
“ For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8, 9)
For what purpose did Christ come?
“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”. (1 Timothy 1:15)
Explain a little more about believing in Jesus.
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Are you sure there is no other way?
“Neither is there Salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men. Whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12)
What again is the first step?
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”. (Acts 16:31)
